Our Year 11 cohort exceeded expectations, achieving an overall positive Progress score. Additionally, our Year 10 students who took their early entry English Literature exams this year performed exceptionally well, with 75% earning a grade 4 or higher.

This marks a remarkable conclusion to the academic year for Cranbrook Education Campus, which also received a 'Good' rating from Ofsted earlier this summer. Our achievements extend beyond GCSEs, with above national average results in Early Years Good Level of Development (GLD), Year 1 Phonics, the Year 4 Multiplication check, and Key Stage 2 SATs. 

Ofsted inspectors praised our ambitious curriculum, particularly highlighting how we successfully promoted the importance of reading. They also commended the school's unwavering efforts to remove barriers to pupil participation and success.

 

Today's celebrations were made even more special by the presence of our pupils from families seeking asylum, who have become valued members of the Cranbrook family in recent years.

Attainment

• Amelia Szczecina who achieved 4 * Grade 9’s, 6 * Grade 8’s and a Distinction in Sport Studies and will be going onto study A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at The Maynard School

• Matthew Mo who achieved 5 * Grade 9, 1 Grade 8, 2 * Grade 7’s and a Merit in Music and will be going onto study A Levels in Geography, Maths and Music at Exeter College

• Julia Szczecina who achieved 4 * Grade 9’s, 1 Grade 8, 3 * Grade 7’s and a Distinction in Sport Studies and will be going onto study A Levels in English Literature, History and Psychology at Torquay Girls Grammar School

• Sammy Stokes who achieved 1 Grade 9, 4 * Grade 8’s, 2 * Grade 7’s and a Distinction* in Sports Studies  and will be going onto study BTEC Sport and Exercise Science at Exeter College

• Zoe Bradshaw who achieved 1 Grade 9, 4 * Grade 8’s, 3 Grade 7’s and 1 Grade 6 and will be going onto study A Levels in 3D Design, Fashion and Textiles and French at Exeter College

• Stanley Wood who achieved 1 Grade 8, 6 * Grade 7’s, 2 Grade 6’s and will be going onto study A Levels in English Literature, History and Philosophy and Ethics at Clyst Vale Community College

• Jamie-Lee Benson who achieved 2 Grade 8’s, 4 Grade 7’s and 2 Grade 6’s and will be going onto study A Levels in 3D Product design, Graphic Communication and Physics at Exeter College

Progress - A +1 means that, on average, students scored one grade higher across their best eight subjects compared to their national targets.
