Barnaby Poslett

Key Stage 1 Teacher

I have been employed at Cranbrook since June 2023 and have thoroughly enjoyed beginning my teaching career at Cranbrook Education Campus. Prior to teaching, I was a teaching assistant for 7 years. I have lived in Devon for all of my life, growing up locally in Exmouth. I love working at Cranbrook Education Campus as I have had many opportunities to develop my skills and enhance my practise to support the children within the community. In January, I began the NPQ in Leading Primary Maths through Teach First. I also love working at CEC as all staff work collaboratively to ensure all children feel happy and safe in our school.
My responsibilities are currently teaching Donaldson Class (Year 1) and leading maths in Key Stage 1.

Ellie Mylles

Key Stage 1 Teacher

After studying Geography at Swansea University, I became a Teaching Assistant in London and instantly fell in love with education. I had the invaluable experience of training to teach on the job and worked as a Reception Class teacher. Then, I went on to work in KS1 where my love for the job only grew.

In 2023 I moved to Devon from London and started working at CEC. Immediately it was clear that community is at the heart of all we do. We are a kind, proud and supportive campus and this is evident in every interaction between staff, children and their families. I absolutely adore teaching Year 1 at CEC and it is a privilege to be part of each child’s journey. We encourage all children to be aspirational and understand nothing is out of reach. CEC not only advocates for the growth of its learners but also grows great staff. I have a passion for inclusion and right now I am currently completing the qualifications necessary for becoming a Special Educational Needs Coordinator. It truly is a special place to be a part of.

Karen Thomas

Teaching Assistant

I have worked at Cranbrook Education Campus since 2019, where I am currently a teaching assistant. Previously I have been a play-lead during lunchtimes, and enjoyed many months as lunch time lead coordinator.

I am passionate about history, it being one of my favourite subjects, and it is wonderful to help enable our children to discover more about the past and become enthusiastic towards their learning. One of my duties is to deliver phonics and English interventions, and I regularly catch up with the children on what they have been reading. Devouring novels is a past time of mine and it is fantastic to be able to get involved with what books they have been enjoying and promote positivity towards reading.

Kayaking, paddleboarding and rock climbing are other hobbies of mine that I try to keep up with as often as my own children will allow!

Katherine Jones

Exams Officer & Marketing

I graduated in 2006 with an Honours degree in English and Media Studies and over the last 15 years I have worked in finance, marketing and advertising. After the birth of my son in 2017, I wanted to "work to live" and gained a meaningful work/life balance by joining the CEC Family in September 2018.

I started out as the face of the school on the main reception desk, but have also carried out other duties across the campus. I'm currently the Exams Officer and Marketing lead.

I’m also studying Level 3 British Sign Language and hoping to go into interpreting in years to come.

Krisha Gandhi

Primary Head Teacher and Deputy Head of Campus

I joined CEC in 2022 and immediately fell in love with our incredible community. We are proud, kind, and supportive, and I witness this daily in how our families, staff, and pupils interact with each other. Having worked across the globe, it’s clear to me that one of our greatest strengths is how we come together to make the world a better place. Our team are always delighted to welcome visitors, whether you are a prospective family or simply interested in learning more about how we teach, learn and operate. CEC is truly a #Crantastic place.

Phoebe Plant

Primary Cover Supervisor

I have been employed at Cranbrook since 2017 and have developed some lovely relationships with staff, children and parents over the years. I currently teach across Primary and enjoy seeing many different faces over the week. I have just started my degree to become a Primary Teacher in the next few years.

Sonya Rodrigues

Room Leader - Nursery

This is my 6th year working here and I absolutely love it. Seeing the children go from little 2-year-olds and watching them grow through the school is just amazing. Before working here I worked as a room leader at First Steps Nursery at the Hospital for 14 years. I have had 22 years experience in childcare altogether! In that time, I had 2 lovely little girls, Ava and Hallie, so my move to the campus was a great choice for our family.

In my spare time I love going on days out and making lots of family memories, I like to find new adventures to have with my little family. I also love riding my scooter to school so you may see me fly by on your way in!

Stephen Farmer

Head of Campus

I have been Headteacher at Cranbrook Education Campus since 2016. I supported with the original digital systems before the Campus opened and then taught Computer Science to the original cohort of Year 7 pupils during the 2015-2016 academic year. I am fully committed to leading CEC to be a school rooted in its community where aspirational learning and opportunities transform the lives of our pupils.

Prior to becoming a teacher back in 2008, I ran my own business providing both educational workshops to school and youth groups and creating websites for local business in Plymouth. I am originally from South West Wales where I grew up surfing, coasteering, kayaking, snorkelling and biking before moving to Plymouth to study my degree in Digital Art and Technology where I was awarded the ‘Being Digital’ award in my final year. I met my wife whilst at University and now we have three young children (Enid, Kitto and Redwynn) who keep us very busy outside of school.

I am incredibly proud of Cranbrook Education Campus and how we transform lives and strengthen our communities to make the world a better place. Please do come and visit us to see our wonderful school in action and to meet our Proud, Engaged, Ready, Kind and Safe pupils and staff.
