Early Years
Welcome to Cranbrook Education Campus Early Years, consisting of our Nursery, Pre-School and Reception bases
Our two year old children are based in the ‘Nursery’ room and the term after their third birthday they move into our ‘Pre-school’ provision. We currently have two Reception bases for children in their first year of school.
We aim to provide all the children within our care with exciting and stimulating learning opportunities.
Nursery & Preschool Hours
- Morning session: 08:30-11:30
- Afternoon session: 11:30-15:15
- Full day: 08:30-15:15
We also offer wrap around care for our nursery children between the hours of 07:30-08:30 and 15:15-18:00
We are open term time only.
Carle classroom for 2-3 year olds is designed to take up to 20 children. It's a cosy environment with its own outdoor area. Within Carle class, we have a soft play area that we use daily.
In our Preschool classes, which both accommodate 26 children for 3-4 year olds, the children have lots of space to express themselves through self-discovery, while guided by our qualified teacher.
We offer a variety of inside activities:

Carle/Nursery
We visit the school library every week and use the school hall for our PE sessions.
We have two fantastic large gardens that classes can access in all weathers, we have access to the large school grounds as well. This includes our forest school and sports pitch and large field.
All our bathrooms are equipped with toilets, hand washing units and nappy changing facilities. We also have a fantastic range of outdoor facilities within our securely fenced grounds that include:

Bicycles, scooters and trikes
Large selection of outdoor play equipment
Wendy house
Sheltered play area
Mud kitchens

Reception Hours
Our Reception bases operate the same timings as the rest of the Primary school phase.
- Drop off from 8.30am and registration starts at 8.45am
- End of day : 15.15
