Work Experience 2024
Year 10 will be completing a weeks work experience from Monday 15th July to Friday 19th July 2024
During their work experience week pupils will gain real industry and employment experience. This vital part of their school year has been in the planning since September where during their Personal Development lessons last term, they were given guidance on creating a CV and an application letter. Year 10 have been asked to find three potential employers and they now need to start the application process by sending letters to employers.. Pupils will be supported through this process by Personal Development teachers, tutors and Mrs Jenkins, our careers lead.

We work in partnership with Careers South West, who complete all legal checks on an employer before the work experience is allowed to go ahead.
Workplace etiquette for pupils
When you are on a placement it is really important to adhere to the rules and guidelines set out by the employer. If you are asked to wear particular clothing, you will already know in advance.
